Raising up the Next Generation of Worship Leaders
Worship Academy is a program for students and young adults who have some musical talents or abilities and want to use those talents for the glory of God in the context of a worship team.
Worship Academy will help participants to improve in their musical ability especially in the setting of a worship team where harmonizing and playing in tempo is crucial. Perhaps most importantly, Worship Academy will also focus on character development and growing in our relationship with the Lord. At Worship Academy, we want to teach our students how to be worshippers rather than performers.
The focus of Worship Academy will be to both improve our musical abilities as well as grow in our relationship with Jesus and have a deeper understanding of what it means to be a person who leads others in worship. Worship Academy is about both musical preparation as well as heart preparation. Therefore, Worship Academy will combine both classroom instruction as well as on stage rehearsals. A large portion of Worship Academy and the responsibility it requires will fall upon each individual student to spend time at home practicing their instruments as well as developing a lifestyle of worshiping Jesus in their own personal time.
